Satya Jewelry Mani

When I reviewed my Satya Jewelry Turquoise Arm Yourself Bracelet (you can see my review here) I knew I wanted to match my manicure with the bracelet.  I pulled out all of my turquoise looking polishes to find the one that matched the turquoise of the bracelet best.  The winner was Sinful Colors’ Mint Apple.  Not only was Mint Apple a similar color, but it also had a slight simmer to it that matched that of the Satya bracelet.

I also wanted to stamp a gold snake onto my nails to match the serpent on the bracelet.  To do this, I used Maybelline Bold Gold and Mash-50 image plate.  I finished off with a top coat to prolong my manicure.

This manicure came out just the way I envisioned it.  I am so happy with it and thankful to Satya Jewelry for allowing me to review one of their bracelets (which I love).  This was a nice look to wear and both my manicure and my bracelet stood out.

Annie’s Microwavable Mac and Cheese Cup

(Annie’s Microwavable Mac and Cheese Cup was sent complimentary by Influenster for testing purposes)
Included in my Mama VoxBox was an Annie’s microwavable mac and cheese cup.  These are made with 100% real cheese and organic pasta.  I received the White Cheddar Microwavable Mac and Cheese Cup.

I shared this cup with my family and we really liked it.  You can tell these are made with real cheese because it is stringy and yummy.  These microwavable mac and cheese cups are ready in about two minutes.  They make a perfect after school snack and are great if you are in a hurry or on the go because they are hardy and ready quick.

Annie’s Microwavable Mac and Cheese Cups come in White Cheddar Microwavable Mac and Cheese Cup (which sells for $1.69 for a single and $3.29 for a multipack), Real Aged Cheddar Microwavable Mac and Cheese Cup (which also sells for $1.69 for a single and $3.29 for a multipack), and Rice Pasta & Cheddar Gluten Free Microwavable Mac and Cheese cup (which sells for $1.99 for a single and $3.89 for a multipack).

POND’S Luminous Finish BB+ Cream

(POND’S Luminous Finish BB+ Cream was sent complimentary by Influenster for testing purposes)
I was very excited that a BB cream was included in my Mama VoxBox.  I have been wanting to try one for a while now.  The POND’S Luminous Finish BB+ Cream contains a tone perfecting complex that helps mask imperfections and uses a special pigment system that helps to visibly fade dark spots over time.

The POND’S Luminous Finish BB+ Cream blended nicely into my skin.  It gave me a nice light coverage that went on smooth and looked natural.  I love that there is SPF 15 in the BB cream.  I think the POND’S Luminous Finish BB+ Cream is such a great product for a quick way to get a nice foundation on your face that does not feel or look heavy on your skin.  I am so happy with this BB cream and have been using it every day since I got it.  You can find POND’S Luminous Finish BB+ Cream in mass retailers for $9.99.

Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles

(Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles were sent complimentary by Influenster for testing purposes)
The first product I tried from the Mama VoxBox was the Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles.  These are so comfortable!  The first thing I noticed was a cool sensation when I put my feet into my shoes.  This was not only the first time I used the insoles, but every time I first put my feet on top of the insoles.  The next thing I noticed was the comfort.  I have tried insoles one other time (several years ago) and all I really remember about them was they felt like my feet were on hard plastic.  With the Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles I did not have that feeling.  These insoles were soft and comfortable.

I first tried out the Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles in some stomper boots.  I usually wear tennis shoes or flip flops, but I was going to a meeting and wanted to wear some nicer shoes.  By the end of the day I forgot I was not wearing my usual tennis shoes because the Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles made my stomper boots so comfortable.  I also tried these insoles inside my tennis shoes.  I was going on a field trip where we would be doing a lot of walking.  My feet did not give me any problems at all.  The Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles are just so comfortable.
I am so happy the Dr. Scholl's For Her Comfort Insoles were included in my Mama VoxBox.  I have been wearing them every day no matter what shoes I am wearing.  I highly recommend these.  They are perfect for us moms who are always on our toes or anyone who just wants some added comfort to their shoes.  Dr. Scholl’s For Her Comfort Insoles retail for $12.49.

Satya Jewelry Turquoise Arm Yourself Bracelet

(Satya Arm Yourself Bracelet was provided for review)
Today I have a bracelet from Satya Jewelry to review.  It is the Turquoise Arm Yourself Bracelet.  This bracelet features a gold snake wrapped around a turquoise silk band.  The serpent represents energy, eternity, and immortality.  The bracelet is gold plated over brass with silk.
This is such a pretty bracelet.  It is very dainty.  I love the colors and enjoy wearing it.  It is very Cleopatra-esque.  I wore it with a nice business suit and it really dressed it up.  I also wore this bracelet with jeans and that looked great as well.  This bracelet is very versatile.
It is suggested that the best way to take care of this bracelet is to store it in an air tight bag when not wearing it.  In addition to the beauty of this bracelet, I really love that 10% of the proceeds go to Home of Hope in Africa—which helps create opportunities for continual physical, educational, and holistic well being for exploited South African girls.  The Arm Yourself Bracelet comes in six different colors that you can find here.  Each one sells for $48.

Born Pretty Holo Polish 3

Today I have a gorgeous polish to show.  It is Born Pretty Holo Polish number 3.  I won this polish from the Born Pretty Store’s blog.  They were having a giveaway and I was one of the lucky winners.  I got to choose one of the new Born Pretty Holographic Polishes and I chose number 3, a pretty pink.  I painted my nails with L.A. Colors base coat-top coat then applied two thin coats of Born Pretty Holo Polish number 3.  This holo polish was so smooth and very easy to work with.  Number 3 is a medium pink with amazing holo in it.  I could not stop looking at the polish in the bottle or on my nails.
I decided to add some hearts to this beautiful polish.  I used my black Salon Express Nail Art Paint and an Essence Stampy Design plate.  I then sealed everything in with N.Y.C.’s Grand Central Station.
I love the way my nails came out.  I have wanted to use the heart design on this plate for a long time now and the Born Pretty Holo Polish number 3 was a perfect base for it.  I got very nice compliments on this lovely polish.  I am so happy I won this polish.  The Born Pretty Store has 12 of these holographic polishes to choose from.  You can find them here.  Right now they are on sale for $4.59- $5.59 depending on which color you choose (they are normally $12.88 each).  The Born Pretty Store has also generously offered readers of my blog a 10% off coupon code, NNDK31, to use on their website.  If you pick up any of these gorgeous holo polishes let me know.

Schwarzkopf Professional OSiS+ Gelastic

(OSiS+ Gelastic was sent complimentary by Influenster for testing purposes)
I received a bottle of OSiS+ Gelastic in my Influenster Spring Fever VoxBox.  This is an ultra strong flex gel with a 4/5 hold.  Benefits are listed as: all day ultra strong style control, dries to a firm and strong finish, and has lasting definition.  Ingredients include resins that are normally found in finishing sprays that provide a lasting, strong, and moldable hold.   I don’t use gel on my hair too often, but the men in my house do and they really liked the quality of the gel.  On the Influenster Tumblr page they had some hair style suggestions.  One of them was a sleek ponytail look.  I decided that was how I would style my hair.

Here are some pictures of my fiancé’s hair.  These pictures were taken after a 10 hour work day.  His hair looked just as good after work as it did when he first went in.

Instead of putting the Gelastic on a comb then combing it through my hair like the suggestion, I combed my hair into a ponytail like I normally would.  After my hair was up I put a small amount of Gelastic on my fingers and ran them gently over my hair.  Normally I would spray my hair with hairspray to keep my ponytail in place, but I think the Gelastic worked better.  The day I wore my hair like this I went to a softball game and it was a little windy.  My hair of course blew around in the wind, but all the strands stayed up in my ponytail.

I really like the hold OSiS+ Gelastic provides.  I am going to have to try more hairstyles with this product and not just leave the gel to the men.  OSiS+ Gelastic can be found at the Schwarzkopf Professional website and at Ulta stores.  OSiS+ Gelastic sells for $18.00.
