Checkered Hallucinations

For today’s Pink Wednesday I have guest nails.  We have a cute pink and black manicure with a twist.  We used Wet N Wild’s Black Crème polish on all of the fingers expect the ring fingers.  We followed that with Wet N Wild’s Hallucinate.
For the ring fingers, we used Sinful Colors’ Fusion Neon then stamped on a checkered design using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and an Essence Stampy Designs plate.
I like the way these nails came out.  Hallucinate added nice sparkles to the black.  I think the neon pink accent nail really stands out.

Giveaway from Nails Actually

I won the 100 follower giveaway from Char at Nails Actually.  She was giving away two prizes and I got to choose which of the two prizes I wanted.  It was hard to choose, but I decided on Victorian Glitter Polish in Tomorrow As It Used To Be.  Here is a picture of my prize.
I managed to keep the little ones out of the candy so I could picture it, however the husband to be did not get the memo and dipped into the goodies early.  Char has a very nice nail art blog called Nails Actually that you should check out.  Thank you Char for the lovely prize!

Inspire Me Monday: Angry Birds- Green Pig

Today’s inspiration is another one from the Angry Birds game—the green pig.
Image from Google
I started off with L.A. Colors base coat-top coat.  I then applied two coats of Sinful Colors’ Happy Ending.
I stamped the pig using image plate KD4 and Wet N Wild’s Black Crème polish.
I finished off with N.Y.C.’s Grand Central Station.
I like this shade of green for the pig.  I thought about filling in his hat with yellow, but decided I might get the yellow all over.  I think this is a cute stamp.  I really like the details on this pig.

Orangesicle Toes

For this pedi I started with a base coat (L.A. Colors base coat-top coat) then used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Sun Kissed.  I used two coats to help the look last longer, however this polish was thick and opaque at one coat.  For the flower petals I used a dotting tool with Love My Nails Nail Polish in White.  After creating the petals, I dotted the Sally Hansen Sun Kissed in the center of the flower.  I completed this look with a top coat (L.A. Colors base coat-top coat) to add shine and help prolong the design.
I really love this color combination.  It reminds me of an Orangesicle Popsicle.  I think this is a fun pedi to wear during the warm summer months.
