Kiss Ever PRO Lash Starter Kit

There was a Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit included in the Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox.  I have never tried false eyelashes before so I was a little bit intimidated to try these.  The kit comes with eyelashes, latex-free glue, and an applicator.  This kit also states it is safe to use if you wear contact lenses.
The box has very good instructions on how to apply the eyelashes.  After trying these, I realized it was a lot easier to apply false eyelashes then I thought it would be.  The glue was very easy to work with.  I also like that there is an applicator.  The applicator reminds me a little bit of plastic tweezers.  The hardest part I had with the whole process was placing the eyelashes on my lids.  The kit states that you can reuse these lashes, so after I applied the eyelashes the first time, I reapplied them to adjust where I had placed them.  In the end I think I could have put the eyelashes closer towards the inner part of my eyelids, but I was really impressed with how easy applying these eyelashes turned out to be.
Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit sells for $4.99.  You can find this kit at Walgreens.  You can also visit the Kiss website here.

Vitabath Fragrance Mist

I received Vitabath Fragrance Mist in Scrumptious Vanilla Sugar in the Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox.  This fragrance mist smells yummy and so amazing.  Scrumptious Vanilla Sugar is the perfect name for this scent.
Not only does this fragrance mist smell good, but it looks good too.  I love the shape of the bottle and I think it is very easy to hold and spray.  Vitabath’s Scrumptious Vanilla Sugar is my new favorite scent.

Vitabath Fragrance Mist comes in 16 different scents that are categorized into one of four collections.  The four collections are Spa Day, In Bloom, Fruit Fanatic, and Cupcake Couture.  Scrumptious Vanilla Sugar is part of the Cupcake Couture collection.  Vitabath also has body washes if you can’t get enough of your favorite scent.  Vitabath Fragrance Mist is sold for $9.99 and can be found on their website here.

Not Your Mother’s Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream

Included in the Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox was Not Your Mother’s Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream.  This cream is infused with grapeseed and jasmine and smells great!  It is used to help accentuate your natural curls and keep your hair frizz and flyaway free.
Following the application instructions on the back, I applied the Kinky Moves curl defining hair cream to my damp hair.  I scrunched my curls and let them air dry while they set.  What’s really nice about this cream is that your hands are not sticky after you use it.  This product not only made my natural curls look better, but it also made my hair smell good all day long.
Not Your Mother’s Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream sells for $6.00 for a full sized 4 oz bottle.  It can be found at CVS, Walmart, ULTA, and several other retail locations.  For more Not Your Mother’s hair care products check out their website here.

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

Of all the products included in the Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox, I was most excited to try out the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin.  You get two pins and some ideas for hair styles using the pins.  I received the light hair pins.
I decided to do something similar to the double spin bun except only putting the top section of hair into a bun and leaving the bottom section down.  The helpful hints included in the packaging were definitely helpful.  I found the most helpful hints were to not interlock the pins, turn the pins clockwise into your bun and counter clockwise out of your bun, and twist the pins deep into the bun catching your hair up against your head for a more secure hold.  I have thick hair so this last hint was especially useful for me.  These pins went in easily and held secure for a long time.
I am very happy with these pins!  They are easy to use, go in quick, and hold great.  Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin is sold for $7.29 and come in either light or dark hair colors.  They can be found at WalMart, Target, CVS, Walgreen’s, Kroger, and Duane Reade.  Be sure to check out Goody’s website here.

Bath & Body Works included a mini candle in the Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox.  The candle I received was White Barn Mahogany Teakwood.  This candle smells good!  It has a bit of a cologne smell to it.  It smells very fresh.

This little candle packs a lot of fragrance.  I only have to burn it for a little while and it leaves my house smelling good.  This mini candle sells for $3.50 and can be found here.  Small candles sell for $9.50, medium candles sell for $12.50, and 3-Wick candles sell for $19.50.  More Bath & Body Works candles can be found on their website here.

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

The first item I noticed when I opened my Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox was NYC’s IndividualEyes Custom Compact.  This compact comes with a primer base, an illuminator, four eye shadow colors, and an applicatior.  My compact is 0156-08 Dark Shadows.  The four eye shadow colors are a white highlighter, a light gray all over lid color, a medium gray crease/contour color, and a dark charcoal gray crease/contour color.  The back of this compact has instructions on how to apply the colors as well as application techniques (seen if you lift the label on the back).

I started with the primer base.  I used my finger to apply it to my eyelids.  The primer started out creamy and dried powdery.  Next I applied the light gray all over lid color to the bottom part of my eyes using the applicator.  For the crease of my eyelids, I used the medium gray crease/contour color.  I then applied the white highlighter to the area under my eyebrows.  Lastly, I applied the dark charcoal gray crease/contour color to the outer corners of my eyelids.
This compact is great.  You don’t have to buy several different products because everything you need is included.  The eye shadows in this compact are also color coordinated so you know they will look good together.  NYC’s IndividualEyes Custom Compact retails for $4.99 and can be found at chain drugstores throughout the nation.  This is a great price and a product definitely worth checking out!  You can find NYC New York Color’s website here.

Checkered Hallucinations

For today’s Pink Wednesday I have guest nails.  We have a cute pink and black manicure with a twist.  We used Wet N Wild’s Black Crème polish on all of the fingers expect the ring fingers.  We followed that with Wet N Wild’s Hallucinate.
For the ring fingers, we used Sinful Colors’ Fusion Neon then stamped on a checkered design using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and an Essence Stampy Designs plate.
I like the way these nails came out.  Hallucinate added nice sparkles to the black.  I think the neon pink accent nail really stands out.

Giveaway from Nails Actually

I won the 100 follower giveaway from Char at Nails Actually.  She was giving away two prizes and I got to choose which of the two prizes I wanted.  It was hard to choose, but I decided on Victorian Glitter Polish in Tomorrow As It Used To Be.  Here is a picture of my prize.
I managed to keep the little ones out of the candy so I could picture it, however the husband to be did not get the memo and dipped into the goodies early.  Char has a very nice nail art blog called Nails Actually that you should check out.  Thank you Char for the lovely prize!

Inspire Me Monday: Angry Birds- Green Pig

Today’s inspiration is another one from the Angry Birds game—the green pig.
Image from Google
I started off with L.A. Colors base coat-top coat.  I then applied two coats of Sinful Colors’ Happy Ending.
I stamped the pig using image plate KD4 and Wet N Wild’s Black Crème polish.
I finished off with N.Y.C.’s Grand Central Station.
I like this shade of green for the pig.  I thought about filling in his hat with yellow, but decided I might get the yellow all over.  I think this is a cute stamp.  I really like the details on this pig.
